With the constantly changing needs of the creative industries, it has become more important than ever for the College to keep its finger on the pulse. I am pleased to announce to you today that the College signed a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with Impala Refineries.
The College will offer a Mechanical Engineering studies programme to Impala Platinum Refineries employees to provide them with the necessary skills and qualifications they need to ensure their up-skilling and prospect for growth.
The initiative is to improve and up-skill Impala employees, it will begin in May 2021 for Trimester 2, N5 classes will be held at Impala Platinum Refineries while the N6 Students will be attending at Ekurhuleni East TVET College Kwa-Thema Campus.
“One of Ekurhuleni East TVET College’s strategic objectives is ensuring that we maintain good stakeholder relations with industry partners around the College. This SLA is thus one of the ways the College is ensuring that this objective is achieved for the benefit of the College, its Students, and industry as such. The College is thrilled to have an opportunity to add value to employees of Impala Platinum Refineries and is looking forward to growing its partnership to other levels” said the Deputy Principal: Registrar – Ms. BM Sisi.
